Well, that’s a first for us!
Our solitary bees normally construct their nests within the carefully prepared flutes of our nesting blocks. However, this resourceful little bee has decided to do things differently, building a series of mud chambers directly inside our hatchery drawer.
Perhaps she’s run out of accommodation or simply found a better spot!
Much like our apprentices, sometimes the best lessons come from thinking on your feet, adapting to the unexpected and finding your own solution.
A little ingenuity goes a long way — whether you’re building with timber or mud!
