At first glance, this striking insect might be mistaken for a butterfly. Bright, colourful and full of character – it certainly catches the eye.
But with a little more knowledge and experience, we learn it’s actually a Magpie Moth (Abraxas grossulariata). Proof that taking the time to pause, look deeper and check the details can make all the difference.
That same principle runs through our apprenticeships. For our Apprentices, developing their craft isn’t just about speed or first impressions – it’s about practising patience, sharpening their reference skills and learning to see things clearly before making decisions.
And just as moths are symbols of transformation enlightenment and spiritual journeys, our Apprentices are on their own journey — evolving step by step into skilled tradespeople who will shape the future of our industry.
Sometimes, the real lesson is in looking a little closer.
